The Sybian is a sex machine, primarily intended to be used by women.

The Sybian consists of a saddle-like base and a motor that moves a rod, which protrudes slightly through the top of the saddle. Rubber attachments can be placed on this rod, which, through the rod's movement and vibrations, stimulate the vagina, clitoris, and optionally the anus. The speed can be controlled via a remote.

A Sybian The machine was developed in the United States by inventor David Lampert, who conceived the concept in the 1970s and arrived at a first prototype in 1985, after which the first model was delivered starting in late 1987.

During the development phase, the device was called the Master Better, but ultimately the name Sybian was chosen, named after the ancient Greek city of Sybaris in southern Italy, whose inhabitants had a reputation as "decadent voluptuaries."

Lampert received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work at the 2016 AVN 'O' Awards. In the media, host Howard Stern has discussed the Sybian multiple times on his program, The Howard Stern Show, and invited guests to use the sex machine during the broadcast. Among those who participated were Nadya Suleman (better known as "Octomom"), actresses Carmen Electra and Heather Locklear, and porn actresses Lupe Fuentes and Jenna Jameson.
